Hardial Singh is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background and extensive experience in the reinsurance industry. He holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) from Queen Mary College, University of London, MBA from IMD in Switzerland and MSc in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, UK.

Hardial founded and currently serves as the CEO of IRMC. Prior to establishing IRMC, he held the position of CEO at Partner Re Singapore Regional Office and worked as a Regional Consultant of Asia for Haakon AG. He has been involved in many large and innovative solutions for the reinsurance market, showcasing his expertise as a deal maker capable of providing effective and structured solutions for clients both as an underwriter and later as a broker.

With numerous connections in Zurich, New York, London, and Singapore, Hardial has built a strong network within the global reinsurance industry. His extensive connections and deep understanding of international markets contribute to IRMC's success in serving insurance and reinsurance companies primarily within the Asian region.

His leadership and strategic vision have propelled IRMC to become a reputable player in the industry. As the CEO of IRMC, Hardial is recognized for his expertise in risk management, reinsurance program design and broking. He has also played a significant role in growing niche products in IRMC's portfolio, ensuring the company stays at the forefront of innovation and market trends.

A Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII) and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute UK (ACII), Zainal has more than 40 years of working experience in general insurance, reinsurance /retakaful and risk management.

He was the CEO of Etiqa Insurance Berhad (formerly Mayban Assurance Berhad) from 2003 until 2008 when he was appointed as the CEO/Director of ACR Retakaful (SEA) Bhd until 2011.

A well-known and active personality in the insurance fraternity, Zainal was the Chairman of PIAM in 2007. Currently he is the Deputy Chairman of Malaysian Insurance and Takaful Brokers Association (MITBA) and sits on the Board of Malaysian Insurance Institute chairing its Academic Council.

Chong is the General Manager of IRMC and joined the company in October 2022. He is an accomplished and articulate insurance professional with over 25 years’ experience at the senior management level. He is a Senior Associate and Certified Insurance Professional of the Australia & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), holds an MBA in Total Quality Management from Newport University, USA and is a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Management.

Chong spent a combined 10 years at Liberty Insurance and thereafter AmGeneral Insurance Malaysia as the Chief Underwriting Officer. Besides underwriting, his background and experience covered diverse functions including reinsurance, general operations, portfolio management, products development, claims, customer care and shared services.

He has held various senior positions with multinational insurers in Malaysia like Norwich Winterthur, AIG and Chubb. Early in his career, he had a brief stint abroad with the MBf Group as General Manager of their insurance operations in the Fiji Islands. Chong had also served as a Council Member of the Malaysian Motor Insurance Pool (MMIP) from 2009-2011 and was a three-term Board Director of the Insurance Services Malaysia (ISM).

David Waddell is an experienced Senior Pricing Actuary with a wealth of knowledge in underwriting and pricing reinsurance treaty business on a worldwide basis. With a career spanning several decades, he has developed expertise in both Excess of Loss and Proportional pricing models. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph, Canada.

David’s background and work experience includes:

• Winterthur Swiss Insurance Company, Winterthur, Switzerland
  • Prokurist/AVP in the Reinsurance Actuarial Department, focusing on non-proportional rating for property reinsurance business and developing rating models.
  • As part of the Group Risk Management team, David was responsible for arranging and placing ceded reinsurance programs and rating internal programs for Winterthur group companies.
• Partner Re, Zurich, Switzerland - Following the sale of Winterthur Re to Partner Re, David joined as a Reinsurance Underwriter and Pricer, eventually becoming a Senior Pricing Actuary. He handled pricing of reinsurance treaty business on a global scale and participated in various actuarial projects.

Philip is a German qualified solicitor based in Luxembourg and has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance market globally:

Willy Suwandi Dharma was appointed as a Commissioner of ZAI (Zurich Asuransi Indonesia) since May 2012.

With extensive experience in the financial services sector, Willy has held various senior and executive position, among others at Adira Finance (CEO 2012-2017 and Commissioner 2017-2019), KPMG Consulting (CEO 1999-2002), Asuransi Astra Buana (CEO 1993-1999) and several Astra Group Companies. Prior to becoming a Commissioner at ZAI, Willy was the President Director at ZAI (2002-2012)

He is now assisting some digital start-up companies as Advisor and also active in social/philanthropic activities.

Willy received his education in Faculty of Agriculture at Bogor Agricultural University and in the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia.
